Shamrock Hot Chocolate

The canal in downtown Indy was turned green yesterday so my older sister was going to take my little sister and me to see it. But it was a little too chilly outside to be walking around. Spring has arrived, but the spring weather hasn't. So instead, we wen't to her house, got to play with her cute puppy Lilly, and make Diva Drinks!

We went to the store and loaded up on all of the drink accessories. We had to get green sprinkles, chocolate, marshmallows, and cool whip.

Shamrock Hot Chocolate Recipe

2 Cups of 2% Milk
2 Cups of fat free Half & Half
8 oz. tasty white chocolate
2 drops of peppermint extract
3 drops of green food coloring
1 drop of vanilla
Marshmallows (optional)
Cool Whip (optional)
Chocolate candy toppings (optional)

Pour both milks into a heavy sauce pan and heat them for 5 minutes on medium. Chop white chocolate and put into the milk. Stir till melted. Add peppermint extract, food coloring, and vanilla to give the mixture a light green color. Stir until it's hot enough for you, but don't burn it! Find the cutest cup you have, dip the rim in white chocolate and sprinkles. Latel the hot chocolate into the cups, add cool whip and lots of marshmallows. Top with chocolate candies and wa-la!

Sunday's In SoHo

Today I went to Soho Cafe with my older sister to
help get a budget going for college, really putting
things into perspective. But getting a Diva Drink made
the visit all the more fun. My sister actually, a couple
weeks ago showed me some stencils for drinks that
you can buy online. When they brought out my drink,
I noticed that is exactly what they had used. Now I have
even more inspiration to DIY one. I can't wait to try it!
Of course there will be a picture with my attempts at the stencil.

Teavana

Stopped into Teavana this weekend,
they have so many varieties of tea!
Normally I don't drink much tea but I tried
a sample of the iced Blueberry Bliss, and
just had to get a cup to take home.

Delicious and healthy!

Brings Back Memories

Every time I would go up to my
grandpa's house we would most likely
would go to the Legion for dinner.
My grandpa would always go to the bar
and get me the fanciest drink they had.
 (I've always been a diva)
He always came out with a Shirley Temple.
I loved how cute it looked and of course the
cherry's, which sometimes they even gave me
extra of!

When we were out to dinner with the
whole family recently, I noticed they didn't have
a very exciting drink menu. Then my sister
mentioned I could probably ask for this. It put
a smile on my face just thinking about my grandpa.

A for Allison

I was out shopping this weekend
and of course had to make a stop in my
favorite store, Anthropology.
I noticed this cup in the edge of the store,
kind of pushed to the back.

But I also noticed that the cup looked
sort of familiar. And of course my sister
tells me she has the cup when she saw
it on Instagram. But that just made me
even happier! I love all of the cute things my
sister has.

So I had to cook up some fancy hot chocolate
that I got for Christmas to try out my new cup.

Obsessed with the look

I went to SoHo Café this past
week with a friend to catch up
over breakfast. I had heard about
this place, but never visited.
And once I did, I was in love! It had
such a cute, small town, coffee shop feel.
With TONS of pretty looking drinks!
I will be visiting again to try more.

This time I ordered the Nutella Steamer.

I love pretty drinks

My name is Allison.

I'm obsessed with drinks that have
whipped cream, chocolate syrup
marshmallows, chocolate chips, caramel,
and anything else I can find to put on or in my drinks.

I call these drinks my Diva Drinks.
